Overview
I was contracted to help the City of Denver’s Office of Children Affairs utilize digital communications more effectively to increase awareness of and participation in youth out-of-school programming. Our work began with conducting formative research to identify how parents and school-aged children learn about community resources and events, developing a digital communication strategy based on Denver OCA’s target audience behaviors, and creating evergreen content for a variety of platforms (social media, email, SMS marketing, etc.) that their staff could recycle throughout the year.
Deliverables
- A one-year digital marketing strategy
- A collection of topical social media content (visuals and canned captions) promoting ongoing programs and related holidays/observances (sized for Instagram, Instagram story, and Facebook)
- An email newsletter template with original graphics
- SMS marketing account activation with copy and schedule for all reoccurring events and initiatives
- Social Media Manager account activation
- Performed ADA compliance updates on the website (captioning photos/videos, adding alternative text to visual elements, etc.)
