WHO IS KIM NICOLE?

A public affairs professional, strategic communicator, entrepreneur, and lifelong learner with a passion for connecting people, ideas, and opportunities. Whether it’s through public service, creative projects, business ventures, or community engagement, I’m always looking for ways to make an impact and learn something new along the way. Over the years, my career has taken me through public affairs, digital communications, marketing, photography, recruitment, military service, entrepreneurship, and more than a few unexpected adventures along the way. While those experiences may seem unrelated on the surface, they’ve all been connected by a common thread: my personal fascination with people, communication, and the stories that bring communities together.
BACKGROUND
I was born and raised in Alabama and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communications and Information Technology before later completing a Master’s degree in Advertising and Public Relations with a concentration in Digital Communications. Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work across both the public and private sectors, helping organizations communicate more effectively, engage their audiences, and build meaningful connections.
I currently work in public affairs, where I help connect individuals, businesses, and communities with important information and resources. Whether supporting disaster recovery efforts, coordinating outreach initiatives, developing communication strategies, or building relationships with stakeholders, I enjoy finding ways to make complex information more accessible and actionable.
OUTSIDE THE OFFICE
Outside of my professional career, I enjoy building things – businesses, websites, creative projects, etc. Entrepreneurship has given me an outlet to combine creativity, problem-solving, and a healthy amount of curiosity. Through projects like Essential Property Solutions and other ventures in development, I’ve learned that some of the best opportunities come from simply being willing to try something new.
When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me traveling, planning my next adventure, exploring new business ideas, working toward fitness goals, reading, taking photos, or diving headfirst into whatever topic has captured my attention that week.
I believe curiosity is one of the most valuable skills a person can have, and I’ve found that some of life’s best lessons happen outside of classrooms, offices, and comfort zones.
Through a mix of videos, articles, photos, and personal reflections, I document the experiences, projects, and ideas that shape my life both professionally and personally.
From entrepreneurship to wellness, travel, creative pursuits, and the occasional rabbit hole, this space serves as a living record of what I’m learning, building, and exploring. Some stories are best told through video. Others deserve a deeper written perspective. Here, you’ll find a little of both.
This website serves as a collection of those experiences. It’s part portfolio, part journal, part resource hub, and part ongoing experiment. Here you’ll find my professional work, entrepreneurial ventures, personal projects, lessons learned, and the occasional rabbit hole worth sharing.
